Although trainees prepare for employment from the
start of training, the intense job search phase of training begins
when a student is deemed ready for placement. A CET Job Developer
works with the student on resume building, interviewing techniques,
and filling out applications.
Even after students have "completed" the vocational component
of their training, CET will work with them until placement is completed.
Although a student’s graduation comes with a Certificate,
CET's standard of true success is achieved only when the first paycheck
is received.
This CET office shares office space with the South Metro/Grant Hill
Career Center; a partnership of the San Diego Workforce Partnership
and CET, offering job search assistance to the Grant Hill Community.
